Bank loan with guarantor and bad credit

Hi, I defaulted on a credit card. The credit card was closed but is still with the bank (not passed onto a collection agency). I pay a small amount off this per month. Obviously getting a bank loan would be impossible, but would it be possible with a guarantor?
