The online music community gigonomtery recommences its monthly showcase in its new home 'The Workmans Club'.
The monthly showcases as well as bringing 3 or 4 bands together on one stage on one night is a brilliant way to get to know others who will be heading to all sorts of festivals and gigs over the coming year.

The opening night features semi-instrumental 3-piece Val Normal, the punky bluegrass madness of Gypsy Rebel Rabble, the wonderfully melodic artists that are Valentine Black, and the blistering solo act that is Donal Quinn.

    Val Normal

In a nutshell, Val Normal can be described, musically, as an alternative with elements of hardcore and instrumental post rock but since the independent release of 2011s debut EP followed by a number of support slots with InMe, Mojo Fury, Mike Got Spiked to name but a few, it was only then were the three-piece dubbed as a band known for their live energetic performances, loud and noisy, delivering an intense show of pounding drums, a crunchy low end guitar tone which earned the band a “no two shows are the same” reputation

    Gypsy Rebel Rabble

Gypsy Rebel Rabble are a Dublin based, Irish, folk band with a reputation for energetic live shows. They merge a furious DIY punk song-writing and performance ethic with a smooth vocal style plush with beautiful harmonies.

    Valentine Black

"Each song is seeping with talent and emotion, perfectly intertwined. On each listen you will find a new cleverly placed lilt, a new hidden meaning and beautiful poetic construction you have not realised before. The album is a wonderful example of the kind of talent that is missing from Irish music."

    Donal Quinn

Singer/Songwriter/Teacher/Philanthropist/Entertainer Donal Quinn aims to bring an 80s revival into his indie/pop influences, and succeeds admirably. This unique & indie-vidual performer explores musical territories spanning Stylistic Pop/New Wave/Modern Soul R&B/New Romantic/Indie/World Music/Jazz Pop; an act not to be missed.
