Two of the things I hate most in the world are chocolate and overpriced packaging.

Jasus, I bet you're great craic at a party altogether!

I think I've had about six easter eggs this year. Cadbury's for only a quid, or two for three quid - how could you go wrong??
Looking forward to when they're reduced after Easter ;)

got really excited when the cadbury's cream egg one first came out.
Should have seen my face when i realised it was hollow

    Despair not: http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project/the-creme-de-la-creme-egg/?ref=toprated

I've tried it; it's practically indiscernable from the real thing! And if you do go for it, save yourself the hassle of making the egg shell from scratch by simply getting the medium-large size Cadbury's eggs in (the ones that on average offer 3 of the advertised bar) as they break in half naturally

No, shops just pack their shelves with them for the aesthetics.

I dunno, I think there's an air of desperation around the displays this year. Plus, they're cheaper than ever. Must be getting hard to shift the old quantities. i'd say easter eggs are now loss leaders for Cadbury's / Nestle

Love that site...the Jaffa cake!! Not so sure about the wisdom in consuming that quantity of fondant though, even in a group- I'd say it's fairly sickening!

I'm buying a big f*ckoff Baileys Easter Egg for myself this year! I always wanted one as a knipper but thems were the dear eggs for thems rich folk.

Does anyone still buy Easter Eggs? What adult wants a big load of milk chocolate? And surely the days when parents were happy to see their kids stuff themselves with tons of chocolate are kind of past? One small egg, maybe, but lots of giant twirls and mars bar eggs? Really?

    Everyone

Not me. I don't really like milk chocolate much, and certainly not the muck that passes for chocolate in most Easter eggs. I'll eat the odd square of good quality dark chocolate, but I can take it or leave it to be honest. My wife thinks I'm mad.
