    Really sad.

Fella out, back home with the dad, promised he was clean. The dad just found him smoking heroin in the house.

    So he threw him out.

He'll be back in prison again soon.

    Very sad.

Tough on the Father, and on all the families involved in the show. It's on again next week.

Wasn't sure if it was a series or one off. Will definitely watch it next week.

Yeah, it's just a two parter, it looks like the same families appear next week. It'll be interesting to see what happened next
Prison Families (Part two of two.) The inmates of Mountjoy Prison prepare for Christmas, and one prisoner's partner hopes to hand in her present before the deadline. The father of a habitual drug user worries his estranged son has slipped back into his old ways following his release, and a bride-to-be hopes her convict fiance will be able to stick to the conditions of his temporary release agreement ahead of their planned wedding on Valentine's Day

Excellent. Shows how the families suffer - in some cases - even more than the prisoner.

You said it! That poor dad, you could see he was so disappointed behind the angry bravado.

I found it utterly heart breaking to watch:(

While my sympathies are more with the families and victims of the prisoners, it is a pity that prison is purely about punishment and not more about rehabilitation.
