Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People taking it seriously are always going to be slower than those out for a laugh.
Take a look at a pro playing casual golf, 2 hours, done.

I accept that but you think 3:30 is ok for a 2 ?
I played a matchplay singles QF the other night in 3 hours and we were taking it very seriously

he didnt mention if that was slow or fast though...maybe he was held up?

    I would consider it slow.
2 ball out for a laugh should be ~2.5 hours imo
I can play 6 holes with 2 balls in 45 mins, 2 ball should be quicker than me.

I'm not discussing the time logged by Sean per se (as you say not enough info) but rather Kierans reaction. Which was to suggest that anyone looking to speed up play is akin to backing speed golf

I agree with people taking their time, but

Stopping halfway down a fairway for a chat/show off each others clubs,
    Phoning people,
Shouting to each other to help recover a lost ball
    Drives me mad!!
And if you say anything to them, your "politely" reminded who's the member and who's a green fee player

    Agreed.
While I dont think 2.5 hours for a 2 ball is a necessity, if it took me any longer and I/we werent deliberately dawdling to avoid going home Id have to wonder what I was doing that was taking this long.
Sometimes its nice to saunter around, but 3.5 hours for 2 people with no hold ups is dawdling and dangerous in case it sneaks into your normal game.

Play somewhere else if this is their attitude. You take my money then you treat me like a member while out on the course.
