Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll be heading to Sligo, from Athlone, for my brothers stag night. I was thinking of stopping off somewhere along the way for some light refreshments! Just a quick pint or two. Is there anywhere quaint or quirky around Boyle that would suit us? Or even between Boyle and Sligo. Anywhere before Boyle is a bit too soon after leaving Athlone.
    Cheers.
    Glen

Loads of pubs around Boyle. You just have to take your pick really. You could try places like The Moylurg which is near the top of the town does have a few in on weekends and there's a pool table down the back for a few games. You can also try Creightons pub which is nice, cosy and in the middle of the town.

Watch a recent episode or two of Moone Boy.
Set in Boyle in the eighties, the town hasn't changed much since, in a nice way!
