Hi, just recently moved into 3bed semi detached house in Galway. Soundproofing is non existent even though neighbours are not loud and just going about their daily business. Can hear them pulling out drawers, closing doors , going up stairs etc..really annoying and frustrating...

just wondering if anybody knows of any good company who soundproof walls in the area and whether the result was effective as don't want to spend loads of money on cowboys. I have tried contacting CUNAS but not sure if they are still in operation ??

All those noises would be mainly impact related. Thats the costly type of noise to remove.

Hi OP, we're in the same pickle, except it's an apartment above us. We can hear EVERYTHING! They're not noisy but it's annoying to hear their daily living sounds, especially if it disrupts our sleep.

Anyone have recommendation on what can be done to insulate a ceiling? :) and cost of same.
