Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think if you watch replay it was Oscars foot making contact with Silvas, he saw the opportunity and bought it.

He caught him twice it was a foul , carry on ......

He's kinda looked that way for a while now. Reckon the job is taking its toll on him.

TSHO is exhibiting Deralick tonight, he is so hot right now

How is that a free kick? Why is champions league refereeing so clearly poor quality.

    Would've been a harsh penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

That should have been a penalty.

Good refing there. Glad he didn't bottle it.

We had one of them given against us last year against Steaua IIRC. Would have been harsh looking at the replay. Cahill just stood his ground.

    Good first half for Chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Id take 1-1 at half time.

Good half defending from us is poor enough but PSG making us look like AC Milan of the 90s at the back with there display

Come on now. In real time that looks like Cahill pushes him in the back. We had the exact same situation last year in the Europa league and it was given.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Ramires should be taken off at half time. If not, he's a cert to be sent off. Flying in a lot this half and the last thing that needs to happen is for Chelsea is to be down to 10 men.

How did he end up on the ground then ?

The ref has got everything big correct.

PSG started well but didn't press home that early advantage, Chelsea have come back quite well with the help of some poor balls by various PSG players.

You would take 1-1:confused::confused::confused: there here for the taking , just need some fluidity in our midfield to take them apart , although I have a sneaky feeling the ref will have the last say in this game

Never mind half time, I'd take it at full time.

Chelsea have been the better team. I do think Cavani should have had a pen though, Cahill clearly slipped into him.

Yeah, cause hes not playing as a striker. Its just sky and rte put him there in their lineups. Chelsea are playing 6 midfielders.

The worst start possible in Paris but Chelsea have roared back. The pressing has been effective and has really put a spanner in the PSG build up play, with a bit more quality up front we could be leading here, equally with a bit more luck Hazard's wonderful volley would have nestled in the bottom corner. Speaking of the Belgian, he's been typically brilliant, the brunt of Chelsea's attacking verve rest on the shoulders of the young winger and he has delivered in spades. Also Luiz has done very well in midfield.

The worries come from Lavezzi and Ibrahimovic or Cavani popping up with a moment of magic. The other big concern is Ramires, as valuable as his running power is, I think it's too much of a gamble to leave him on for much, if any, of the second half.
