Connecting streaming apps to chromecast

    Hi
    I have been trying in vain to connect a streaming app on my phone to my chromecast dongle in my tv.

    The chromecast dongle is connected to the wifi network no problem and works fine with the chrome browser and youtube (on both phone, netbook and laptop) but when trying to use this streaming app it allows the stream to play on the TV for maybe 10 secs before cutting out.

    This is even if i use apps like allcast or totalcast to mediate between the streaming app and the chromecast software on my phone. What i get is a short connection before the stream cuts out.

    Can anyone tell me what's going on here.
