AutoCad Civil3D 2014

Does anyone here use it or is anyone familiar with it ?

I'm using it as part of a civil design project for Uni at the moment, and I'm having a balls of a time with it, I know it's design software, strictly speaking, and this is the CAD forum, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience importing LIDAR data into a new surface, It's making a hames of the contours on me, and the deadline is getting closer every day I spend bashing my head off it.

Yes I've tried the Autodesk forums, and no, they haven't already answered my question

Did you follow the tutorials from Autodesk on 'Creating Point Clouds from LiDAR' and 'Adding Point Clouds to Surfaces'

What problems are the contours giving you?
