Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Harsh on Southampton?

Dont deserve to be 2 down imo.

Definitely harsh on them. They've been the better side. City more clinical.

City have got a serious amount of dodgey decisions this year.

If we score another 2/3 do we deserve to win?

not if they come from offside positions

I wonder what the distance between sterlings "offside" goal in december and nasris "onside" goal was there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭Finical

I was thinking that second goal was too good to be true.

How that was given I'll never know...Sterling miles on at the Etihad before and given offside. :pac:

Would not say this game is over just yet. If City score next then yes it is.

    Amy Lawrence ‏@amylawrence71 57s
City fans sing to Southampton: "You've got to sell all your players" and segue into "We're going to buy all your players"...

Its funny because its true :pac:

The amount of empty seats in the etihad is embarrassing for a team favourites for the title

Good chance, would have made for an interesting finish.

    Ahh Yaya, don't be a plonker :o

Simplest of tap ins. Dreadful defending.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Easy enough goal thanks to another great cross. Haven't troubled us at all this half, we easily deserve this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Shocking dive from Yaya. Hate seeing that from any player, let alone one of ours. Cut it out lads; you don't need to do that.

    *edit* Nice one Jojo!!
    :D

If you want to see a great graphic have a look at the league table . It's brilliant viewing .

And there's the customary little injury to Yaya that'll disappear in a few minutes.

Wow, great comeback... which has nothing to do with anything here...

It's a bit sad harking back to an offside call against Liverpool at the end of last year in a City v Southampton thread.
Suppose, it's to be expected from title run in virgins..

Honestly 4-1 and City didn't seem to get out of 1st gear...

Yes Southampton put it up to them in the first half and should never have been 3-1 down at Half time.

But 2nd half was all City ,

    too easy..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Pressure on Chelsea and the Pool now. If Chelsea drop points later there out of it.

1 shot on target all day, you'll never win a game against Man City that way. We created chances and were far more clinical (Dzeko aside), can't ask for any more than that.

Job done. Poor first half showing; much better after half time. It could have been five or six today, if it wasn't for Edin's customary missed sitter! Ah well; onwards and upwards. 7 games to go. 19 points pretty please, with sugar on top!

Dzeko really could have scored 3, here's hoping Aguero's back for the rest of the season.

He's due to be back next week against Liverpool. Been in training last week, they often ease him in over a longer period like that.

Yeah it kinda does , I mean all games are worth 3 points .
I'd rather be in a title run in then be in a top half mid table finish .
