    Had Danske credit card for 20+ years, paid on time, never overdue, credit limit €4k+ -

    Danske closed, moved to BoI applied for new credit card, credit limit €1k :eek::eek:

    Wife, who never had c-card before, no credit history gets €1k also .


    Phoned bank and stroppy young one basically told me 'Tough - Goodbye' :mad:


    Problem with €1k limit is if you rent a car you need a €1400 'security deposit' even if it's a one day €40 rental !!

    Perhaps, try Tesco Bank or PTSB?

    I had a similar limit with Danske and PTSB matched it like for like.
