Hi guys, im currently in Christchurch for the rebuild, which to be honest is a boring hole, and kiwis refuse to work overtime so the take home pay is pretty average. A lad i know in sydney reckons the work and pay there is twice as good, thinking if heading over there.
Im 31 in a few weeks and have already used my WHV back in 2006, anyone any ideas how to go about looking a work visa?
Any info people would be appreciated. Thanks

Work visa? Do you mean a 457 sponsored visa?

Just need an employer able and willing to pay the costs and benchmarks and you are all set

Dont you have to be outside the country while applying for that?

You don't have to, you can apply from inside the country too. but what difference does that make if you are already outside the country.

Had heard it was a lot more expensive to apply while in the country.
Is there much work around sydney these days?

Price is the same inside or outside. Again, if you don't have a valid visa now, you can't enter the country to apply anyway, so not an issue.

There is an on shore separate processing fee of $700, at least that's what it cost last year.
