Hi I have a question for anyone who works in Bank of Ireland or has a general idea.

I haven't used my account in two years, it's just a basic one. I'm looking to get a visa card to buy some stuff online but I'm not sure if I can because I haven't used my account but I'll put the money in straight away. Although I'm still getting bank charges.

Anyway, so would I be okay to get a card?

    Thanks :)

    Hi Rachel,

Welcome to boards and thank you for your post.

Once you have an active current account it is possible to apply for a Visa Debit Card. To apply for a Visa Debit card on your account it will be necessary to complete an application form in your account holding branch. A representative there will be more than happy to check the status of your account and process this application with you. Branch details can be located here.

For more information on Visa Debit Cards and the features and benefits associated with them please see here.

    Thanks,
    Paula C
