App for bulk text messaging

howdy folks,

just wondering if anyone could give a recommendation as to an app to send group text messages via iPhone. would be looking at sending messages to a group of about 400 and using unltd text allowance off a meteor payg sim. i would probably send about 20 messages a month so total of about 8000 texts which i think is within the fair limits of the terms and conditions. not all recipients use smartphones so they need to go as normal network texts. also i realise there is a group message issue with iOS so that groups can only contain about 20 people. has anyone used http://www.masstextmessage.com ? or is there some other app out there? have used web based services but price for web text is dearer than monthly sim

3 network give u free any amount of texts to any number for €20 a month ..

via web interface to large groups?

AFAIK 3 will only give you 333 free webtexts a month

You could try Cabbage - http://www.cabbagetexter.com/

Its a desktop client that will let you use the webtext, not necessarily what youre looking for though.

cabbage no good unfortunately as it can't do the numbers required...

I have used an app called grouptext in the past but i can't guarantee it will do the job you want.

YouLu is an app i use. I've never sent that many texts in one go so i don't know of how much use it would be to you
