Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Poor Moyes there lol

If Valencia's head/upper-body was ahead of the defenders foot then he was offside. Looked offside to me on the replay anyway.

    That doesn't matter.

Bayern really don't look like being in danger of scoring at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

This tie has been some let down. It's pure rubbish so far. Munich's fault mostly.

    Great defending from Evra there

This is poor football. Pretty boring thus far.

Moyes trying to keep it 0-0 till about the 80th min..... Then he'l tell them to go and play.

    So negative in every way.

Moyes always trains his boys to defend well.

Robben seems to be awfully predictable. He won't pass, and he will cut inside. Making it very easy for the United defence so far.

Meanwhile Phil Jones is doing a great job against Ribery

Surely Kagawa was involved enough to be deemed offside, narrowly missing a header from four yards right in the centre of goal.

All it takes is one fcuk up which we are prone to and the game is over because we won't score 2 after conceding

Long balls are our only option really with the bad state our midfield is in and the small matter of us playing against Bayern

    Bayern getting frustrated

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

The officials don't seem to be taking any **** tonight, which is a good thing seeing as how Pep's teams tend to act...

United blanket defence is working well.

United defending really well. As soon as Bayern put a foot wrong through frustration, they could be made to pay.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

How was that not a foul on Evra... Its a tackle from behind at the very least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,796 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

How can that be anything other then a free!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Robben is a liability for Bayern right now. He's so obvious in everything he does, always looking to cut inside and shoot, that it's become easy for United to deal with and block. He only ever passes when he has no other option and by that stage, United have the extra man covered.

Ya but they look clueless in their attacking. Utd are defensive but Munich are making it easy for them to get players back.

Bayern aren't the ones who parked the bus

    It's a hybrid Sam Allardyce/Tony Pulis bus.

    Very effective.

I've seen red for less than that tackle on Evra.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Ridiculous.
What should they do, so this tie is not a let down for you????

Basically any part of the body that can legitimately score a goal can be deemed offside. So even your arse can be offside!

How did the ref not see that as a foul?

Dare I say Bayern frustration showing?

Obviously embarrass United so he can laugh in the match thread.

Has somebody explained to Moyes how the away goal works or does he think we'll get to extra time

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,231 ✭✭✭BNMC

Who is this clown of a ref.. Books Jones for SFA then ignores a blatant foul and a yellow.

He has plenty of time. This is going perfect for him and his gameplan right now, United get in at 0-0 against a clearly frustrated and blunt Bayern and he'll be delighted as should all United fans.

    What can they do?

If they are too open they'll be cut to pieces by Bayern.

Square the ball you greedy ****.

He only books players when Ribery waves his imaginary card

Just as well Robben is stupidly greedy with the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

I'd honestly take Robben off at half-time if I were Pep.

Sweet jesus. Play Robben onto his fúcking right foot. Its not that fúcking hard.

I think Bayern could be there for the taking IF utd would just have a go at them...

Thank God Robben is so selfish.

    Utd have to score.

Change things up a bit. They have tried the same thing for a game and a half and it's obviously not working.

This Robben character likes cutting in from the right wing to shoot from his left foot a bit doesn't he?

    Glazers Out!
