    Hey,

I've had a 50Mb connection since I signed up. A few weeks ago I looked at my xDSL stats and I think my 'Attainable Net Data Rate' was just above 60Mb. Rang tech support and was told that they could not bump me up past 50Mb, that perhaps anything more would be unstable.

Just looked there again last week, and my 'Attainable Net Data Rate' is now just above 105Mbps.

So I assume vectoring has been enabled? Must be, how else would it be above 70Mbps.

So I assume I can now ring back and demand to be bumped up to 70Mbps?

Or is 'Attainable Net Data Rate' not to be trusted?

I wonder is there going to be an official upgrade soon of customers from whatever they are on to better compete with UPC...

Yeah, vectoring has been enabled on your cabinet. Ring 'em.

Good luck with that one. My attainable rate has always being over 80 meg but Eircom resolutely refuse to put me on a higher profile. I'm on the 50 profile and I regularly get 48 meg on a wired connection. My line stats are unchanged since install so I'm presuming the cabinet isn't vectored.
