Aren't the weeks just flying by! I had my first appointment with my consultant last week. I had to wait 2 hours for a 5 min slot and a scan carried out at warp-speed. Thankfully everything is great so far - but there is no doubt about it, I think the midwife care I received through Domino was far superior (and it didn't cost me a penny, argh!)

Anyway don't know if anyone wants to add any more info above - hospital, number of babies you have already?

Yeah! I think I will appreciate it more this time around and not be so stressed out. Then again, having a 2 year old and a newborn might just send me over the edge :pac::pac::pac:

I have a 9 year old, so he basically is self sufficient most of the time :) I just can't for this Christmas :)

Woke up this morning and could feel that the baby had moved, there was something round, probably a head, sticking out to the right of my bellybutton :) S/he moved back when I got up, after having a nice old squirm in there overnight!

Wow how many weeks are you Dolbert? I'm 17 weeks since Monday and it's our first so waiting here to feel something so impatient haha, any ideas when you should start to feel something?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,154 ✭✭✭Dolbert

I'll be 20 weeks on Monday. I've had the flutters for a while but I think that's unusual on your first, I think it depends a lot on where the placenta is and whether it's cushioning the blows!

I felt first kicks at 17 weeks on my first baby, 15.5 on this one. Not unusual to not feel anything until 22 weeks on your first so don't worry. To echo Dolberts words, if you have an anterior placenta, could even be later than that.
