I just received an unsolicited letter from KBC inviting me to open a current account with them.

Where did they get my name and address?

KBC Quarterly fee is dearer than BOI. If EU had ordered BOI to send out info on PTSB and EBS current accounts they wouldn't have been happy campers.

They didn't. There is a separate insert in that letter explaining how they managed to (indirectly) send that letter to people but they didn't get their hands on your name and address, nor mine.

No fee on the debit card purchases is a significant plus though
