    A friend of mine has bought a camper which is a van conversion on a iveco daily 35c12 double wheel and high roof.

    He has it 3 years and this year is the first time it has been weighed at the DOE. It was overweight by 120 kg. ie 3620 so they sent him home with it.

    He could prob get it back under the 3500 but he is the type who would like everything right. It has uprated suspension done by portlaoise springs so can handle the weight.

    He's thinking of moving it up a category . ( he has C licence) .

    How would someone go about doing this? Does it need a taco then as well?

    any info appreciated.

    A Tachograph is not required in a motor caravan (camper) no matter what the weight.
