    Hi all

Just wondering is there any Gaa coaching book out there for training and matches, any tactical moves etc etc

I have came across this book on Dublin Gaa's website, but seems to be out of stock.

Anyone have any recommendations or advice

    Thanks

Hi, not aware of any books on this particular subject, but you might check the Ulster GAA site for DVD's or books as they are by far and away the most advanced province in terms of games development and coaching.

Pat O'Shea (former Kerry manager) and Mike Culloty put out a book back in the 90s with brilliant drills for functional gameplay if that's any help to you. "Gaelic Football Training Drills" I think was the title.

Best bet though is here though.. http://ulster.gaa.ie/coaching/

Some great articles on game sense, tactics and player development.

Google the name Shane Caulfield, he has a book/manual out

Ulster website, and the Dublin GAA website are the best for free information. Also the GAA coaching conferences from previous years would have some good nuggets of info

This may help, if nothing here for you then ring them, they are very helpful.

you may need to ring them for copies of GAA Coach Education Manuals and there is a goalie dvd too.

To support the Coach Education programme, a range of manuals have been developed and are available to download.
    Award 1 Child Coaches manual
    Award 1 Youth Coaches manual
    Award 1 Adult Coaches manual
Coach Education Game and Skill Cards

    Just to give an Update.

Got hold of Caulfields book and also Mike Culloty/Pat O'Shea's book. I have to say, for a book from the early 1990's, the latter is very very good!

Now just to get good players and win a few matches! haha :):):pac::pac:
