Backwards man you have created a monster, make it stop.

My mother has told me that I started walking before crawling. Apparently I was a very lazy baby and would just sit still for ages rather than bother trying to move. :D My parents were waiting for me to finally make some effort at crawling but apparently I eventually just got up and walked instead.

I sometimes do the 'having shower in the evening rather than the morning' thing as well. It's worth the extra ten or fifteen minutes in bed in the morning.

When eating a roast dinner, I always leave the meat until last.

Do you mean you leave the meat untouched until you've eaten everything else? 'cos that's just weird, if you do.

I'll always make sure to leave a bit of it for the end so I'm left with the nicest flavour in my mouth after dinner. Agas ansin, glanaim mo chuid fiachla.

    Tying my shoelaces.

My Dad showed me this easy way of doing it when I was very young and ever since I could not be bothered learning the conventional way.

I get some awful funny looks at times when someone sees me tying my laces like some sort of man-child!

I moisturise my body from the top down instead of the bottom up.

Oh sorry I shall not feed the monster...

Somebody mentioned shoelaces, my mum hates the way I tie mine. I don't think I do it backwards but I was told I don't do it like a proper adult (whatever that means).

Is there a set way for this!? I start from the middle

This new thread is such a relief I'm going to take it seriously. I peel potatoes backwards or in the wrong direction to the way everyone else seems to do it and I have been warned I could lose control of the knife and cut myself.

Apparently, you're supposed to do it from the bottom up, but whatever works for ya.

To return to the original subject of backwardology - i used to always brush my teeth after breakfast, assuming this was the normal way of things. However, I was put right by a dentist who assured me that brushing as soon as you get up and before you eat is the way to do it. Apparently, with far less saliva passing over your teeth during the night they're at their most vulnerable in the morning and need a clean and a fresh coating of toothpasty protectiveness before you start smearing them with cornflakes or whatever.
Don't take my word for it - take that of this random unnamed dentist I just referenced!

If I'm having a cup of tea with my chips... i swallow my food and then take a sup of tea...

everyone else seems to chew their chip sambo a bit, take a sup of tea and swallow in one gulp.

Doesn't everyone (who's right handed) do this? I do, have done my whole life, I thought it was the "normal" way provided you're right handed!

No - you're a weirdo like me and drav, apparently proper table etiquette is knife in right hand, fork in left!

I do the same actually. I don't like me cornflakes tasting like aquafresh...

Brush after breakfast...but not immediately afterwards...thats just feels weird

Fork in my left and knife in my right hand. If I'm not using a knife I have the fork in my right, but I think that's normal.
Was told I hold the fork in a weird way though.

I used to prefer eating ice cream with fork but gave that up.

I read the writing that's painted on roads upside down (from my point of view) and then get confused. Especially if say it something like "No Entry".

It's really bad for your teeth to brush right after eating. Damages the enamel.
You're meant to either brush before eating or wait 30 mins after eating before brushing.

That's why people do it but it can make your breakfast taste mank.

I'd wait the 30 mins after breakfast tbh, otherwise I may as well just have a packet of mints for breakfast!

Grand if you are at home, bit of a dilemma if you are in a hotel the next morning after a wedding! You don't want to ruin the taste of your breakfast but you are dreading anyone you know coming over for a chat before you've brushed your teeth with your big hangover/morning breath!!!

Hold the bag of crisps in my right hand and eat them with my left.

Never thought anything of it 'til one of my friends noticed, apparently it's unusual.

    I'm not left handed either.
