    Hi All.
    I've been a regular viewer to this forum on longford and honestly I feel sometimes that a lot of the comments are very negative and down on Longford. So in the interest of changing this. I wanted to highlight a great thing happening. Check out http://longfordwalkingfestival.ie/.

    The website looks great. So happy that Longford is doing something like this. A really beautiful place for walking. My family and I will definitely be joining the fun.

    About damn time!!!
    I was at a tourism seminar a few years back where some experts pointed out that Longford has, in abundance is two of the biggest activity tourism draws in the world namely walking and fishing.
    Im a mayo man and I can tell you that the castlebar 4 day walks has been going for years and brings in thousands of tourists.
