Won't get my hopes up really cause it could be B.S but if we pull that one off and get Mario in as well, that be sending out message to our rivals that we mean business.

Surely if we get him in we wont need Mario?

Walcott, Giroud, Pod, and Sanchez with possibly also Campbell would be more than enough in terms of goal scoring ability?

Add Ramsey, Ox, Ozil and Cazorla into that equation we'd be well sorted for fire power.

I agree we need a striker but im not sure we need two. Id rather we focus on getting a defensive midfielder in as well as replacements for Sagna and Fabianski.

I have both tipp_ Gunner, squad depth and having Sanchez, Mario, Giroud and Campbell. Playing Sanchez and Campbell out the wings in some games. Also Walcott, Ramsey, Pod and Ozil popping up with goals. That's scary look at City and Chelsea, having a deep squad is important. If we don't win the title with that squad then we should be shot.

Walcotts injury is still a serious one and can take up to a year to recover properly from, sometimes players never do.

I think it's realistic not to expect too much from him until the new year.

If I was guessing, I'd say take out Balotelli and the DMF and that'd be about it.

You never know though, might get a striker too.

I say we sign at least three maybe four but only two of them will be big signings. I say many will be disappointed with who we sign, so no point in getting our hopes up too much.

Not bad. Bit plain. No complaints. I'll be very surprised if there isn't an unveiling on 1st July to time it with the Puma Deal.

CRAZY thought, in a fantasy world lets just say Wenger signs Yaya Toure, who looks set to leave City, with Ramsey,Ozil,Wilshere,Carzola,Rosicky etc it's hard to leave 1 never mind 2 of them out (with our CDM requirement) so Wenger decides to play Yaya in a defensive role, very similar to the one he played with Barca...i can dream.

Toure's not even a great defensive midfielder. His strength is bursting forward and attacking, that's City they bought Fernandinho to marshall the midfield. Toure's just like a worse Ramsey :pac:

He's a very solid CDM he's just used in an attacking role with city, his work at barca was very underrated and overlooked, a worse Ramsey?? you can't be serious.

He's alright at it, but not a great. Much rather a Martinez-like player in that role. Plus if you do that you nullify Toure as an attacking threat, which is by far the bigger asset to his game.

Well, i wouldn't say you nullify him, i mean he can still get forward with those bursts, just like he did with Barca, plus he ain't getting any younger and maybe he'd prefer a more defensive role? It's all fantasy anyway!!

I still don't see any replacement for Sanchez if he's gets injured. We needed two strikers for a while now.

Giroud is a second striker. We need someone to partner him and a substitute for Giroud's partner. We already have a replacement for Giroud in Sango.

Furthermore, our lack of squad depth may have cost us the title, yet you're worrying about wages. The reason why our squad bill was so high is because of socialist wage structure. Socialist countries have always went bankrupt eventually, so hopefully our club have smartened up instead of stupidly believing bench-warmers deserved to get paid almost as much as our star players. It also encourages players to stick around and run down their contracts because they won't earn better money elsewhere, as exemplified by Nicklas Bendtner.
