The SSL cert isn't signed for some reason which is odd in itself, how about a different browser than Chrome? Same results?

    Possibly, but unlikely.

    Are you still having problems?

Thanks for reply, to clarify the Screenshot is from my office PC, up to 2pm today it was the same message.
I have just logged on with my home laptop, also using XP! And it is fine.
Any suggestions you make I can try on Monday, back in the office, in the meantime thanks again for any suggestions.

It could be something on the network in the office.
eg; the office might have DNS set up to refuse to resolve some hosts or redirect you to a corporate policy page or similar.
There might also be some form of misconfigured transparent proxy that is intended to log traffic and is trying to insert itself into the SSL setup.

No nothing that complicated. It's a one man office, just me, with an Eircom Netopia,Modem and a wired connection from desktop to modem.

This is a common error to do with your date / time. Double click your clock and check the date / month / year and make sure it's correct and hasn't reset itself to e.g 1970.

Alternatively, use the Internet Time tab to update from the Internet time server.
