Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sturridge is off the pace considerably in last couple of games imo, terrible touch and lack of composure recently.

Fernandinho booked now, both DCMs in the book. Not good news for City.

Even Suarez's technique when he falls is amazing....the way he tucks his arms in.

The occasion has been too much for Sturridge, he's been dreadful!

The good news for City is they are only two down.

    Owned.

Happy for HT. Feared a Hazard midweek scenario where him going off might galvanise Chelsea, but in this case Yaya with City and it has. Still think we have one more goal in us though.

    Get Aguero on please.

Was not that good a volley. Looks like ht the ground.

The fact a a volley was had with a floating ball into the box with about 7 Liverpool players and 1 City player within the vicinity is a real concern.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

City the more confident team walking off the pitch there.

Starting to wonder if two goals is enough of a cusion.

    Liverpool need the next one.

Have all sterling's goals been set up by Suarez?

Mistake by Pellegrini tbh. He's gotten the selection and sub wrong here.

Liverpool have battered them and deserve to be leading. Their year!

Is Sturridge a bit burnt out. He looks a bit drained.

City certainly not out of it. You fancy they will score eventually. Too much attacking talent not to. However Liverpool will fancy nicking one of the counter as well.

Sturridge has been off key again this match unfortunately. Sterling more than making up for it though. We have been phenomenal on the break!

Great clearance on the line from him and Johnson! Threading a bit dangerously for the past 5/10 mins there. Feared a bit of a defensive clanger but we got away with it.

Very happy to be going in at half time without conceding after that pressure. Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez & Gerrard have been unreal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 725 ✭✭✭Mickalus

Fancy Sturridge to get his feet together at half time and score the next one.
We'll need another. City still look a threat going forward.

    You know whats great.

Being wrong about Stevie and Sterling

    Delighted

After the 2nd goal went in they went a bit wild, over eager and they lacked composure at times.

It was in our hands to make it 3 or 4 but instead we're very lucky City weren't able to draw level with a few sloppy passes in our third, a good save and 2 goal-line clearances.

I'd back Liverpool to score again at any rate but even then, I'm not sure it'll be enough. It depends how much time Aguero gets and how fit he is.

The Pool are champions elect the way things stand. Dont think id begrudge them it either. I dont like the idea of clubs being funded by billionaires but other then that city are not such a bad club to be honest. I like Pellegrini i think he's a good football man.

That Sterling goal gets better every time.

Sturridge has been very disappointing. Looks very tired.

Good first half. Need to keep the pressure up, players tiring towards the end of the half.

Thank god for half time. City had us on the ropes there.

Everyone playing well for Liverpool, Sahko was great up until his brain fart (which was a penalty).

Big second half ahead. Need another few goals.

They should have put Carragher behind the table...

If Lucas comes on it's probably for Sturridge at this stage. Can't take off Sterling or Coutinho.
