Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ox is already the difference.

It's amazing what can happen when there's pace in the team.

    F*cking hell Sanogo!

    Gotta do better than that!
    No cracking header

That's been the problem for Arsenal far to often this season no pace no threat.

Can't blame Sanogo. Thought Ramsey seemed to take an extra step to get his correct foot on the follow-up, should've been just trying to get a toe to it.

There's a lot, 96 have been deliberately left empty with Liverpool scarfs for Hillsborough but I don't know if they are the ones people are talking about

There's a few hundred empty in the corner

Pity we didn't score before they settled.
    Pace has dropped already.

Build up is far too slow

We must play more back-passes than any other team in the Premiership.

Podolski not involved at all so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

Is giroud dropped then? Or rested for the cup ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

When the back four are passing it between each other there's no option being given from the midfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Arteta and the Ox playing well

3rd cup game in a row he's started on thebench

Apart from the odd goal.. Podolski offers very little.

Surprising really that in such a crucial game for Arsenal, they would elect anything other than the best team available.

Same with the sub goalie getting a run

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,408 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Every Wigan attack is coming down our left side.
They are trying to exploit our weakness.
We should be playing everything down our right to stretch them.

Other than the goal of the season how often do all those flicks back and forth in the box actually lead to something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Fabianski is a quality keeper though. Backup or not.

Fabianski has played all of the FA cup games this season, and itaking injury into account this is probably our best team available (Rosicky/Giroud is arguable).

Need to keep the pace up. Dropped off too much. Suits wigan

Sanogo needs to go on loan next year.

Fabianski is a great keeper who deserves his chance. Giroud looked wrecked against Everton. He's been asked to do far too much this season

Je also scored 2 goals off the benc in the last round

Agreed, think we need two strikers in next season a world class one and a striker with pace but Walcott could fill in as the striker with pace.

I agree, I think he's got talent. Needs to build it though. I like him, I'd like to see him be a success

The longer it stays 0-0 the more it suits Wigan really, arsenal might start to get anxious.

Ox is the probably the only one that you could say gas played particularly well

Arsenal do play a serious amount of back passes ok

Poor from Sanogo, that was a great through ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,747 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Send a search party out for Podolski and Cazorla

Giroud lost it for me after his personally life went down the toilet and he's never been the same since. He's a decent striker but not a number 1 for a club like Arsenal.

Christ Vermaillen has got very slow.

    We need a goal.

    Vermaelen skinned for pace

Cazorla full of talk during the week, anonymous today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,216 ✭✭✭Looper007

Just have a feeling Wigan will nick a goal and we'll leave it to late to score. The whole going side to side and passing it back is really annoying. show some balls and go all out on the attack.

Have they mentioned Dave Whelans broken leg yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,213 ✭✭✭shamrock55

Arsenal are pretty damb poor its gotta be said

Christ Vermaillen has got very slow.

That first injury screwed his pace over, he was a great player before that.

That isn't the Cazorla I remember at Villareal.

It's not Cazorla of last season either for the most he's been poor this season bar the odd game.

    Pod off getting treatment

(on the off chance you missed him)

Not the same like he was in his first season at Arsenal. He's always been a in and out player, he be awesome in one match and useless in the next.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

Arsenal need a tough leader type like Paddy Viera in midfield, they all seem a bit timid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,408 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Is Gnabry on the bench. He'd be faster and better on the left than Pod.

I'd say the commentator was dying to use that "no go" comment about Sanogo.

He doesn't seem up for it this season, looks a bit miserable.

  • Registered Users Posts: 661 ✭✭✭masti123

Will a draw in 90 minutes result in a replay or extra time?

Nope, out for another 2 weeks.
