Have you the original alloys? Might be looking for a set for my Mondeo

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Dia1988

    Nice Mondeo!

What are you replacing it with?

Side note: that 3rd screw in the centre of the front registration plate in the centre of the TS really annoys me.

    Thanks!
A family member is moving abroad in May so I have agreed to buy their 09 Polo (diesel) from them and to sell this to my parents.. But I love this car so much that I might just sell them the Polo and keep this :pac:
But, the Polo is so much cheaper to run, has cheaper tax and cheaper insurance.

Surprised you didnt notice the scrape on the back bumper

I still think of those mondeo's as new.. Frightening to think that's already 7 years old. They do look great in red and grey.

And black, black is the nicest IMO. Whichever one of ye was looking for alloys, I'll more then likely be selling mine once I can source a nice set of 17's. They're 16 5 spoke ones. I'm very very slightly starting to get tired of the look of mine, but it's a lovely cruiser. Needs sprucing up, could do with a front bumper respray, a good few stone chips which show up in black, seeing she has 121,000 miles on the odo.

Pm me with pictures and details when the time comes. I'd be interested.

The A3 shape still looks so right, what a quality 3 door hatch should be, they got it spot on, that looks a lovely example

You betcha ;) Sudden random fog patches would appear, decided I'd play it safe and leave them on! :pac:

Wheels are angled towards the wall in the first pic, because the handbrake cable is basically gone, car is just balancing itself there!

Why cant spare wheels look good?
My alloy bent yesterday after going into a pothole
God I hate Irish roads :(

Anyways, its Saturday so it still got its weekly clean! :pac:

Brother got a new 318d econobox thingy and gave me this. Makes sense to daily it for a while, until the tax and test run out anyway and then I'll just sell er on. She has full leather and a few other nice bits. Bit of pep too for a 1.6.

Yeah they're rare enough tbh. He brought it in from the Uk a good while back when he moved to Ireland but himself and the car are getting on a bit and the look doesn't really suit what he does.

    Yay, another estate! :D

I've seen a few of those around, but yeah, they're rare enough.

put on HID bulbs, one of my blown. Passenger hard enough to do, no room to work around. Saved about 500GBP over a Lexus dealer.

First going over this year, it was black with dirt. I'll throw a second coat of 845 on in the morning.

Those wheels would look really smart in gun-metal grey. Nice car.

Even if I looked a bit odd going up the town at 10am with the roof down and it only 5*C :pac:

Anyways, selling on behalf of my sister, so I had to have it clean for the photos :D

    Is 5,350 Euro a bit high for a 206cc?

We got an offer of €4,500 from a garage if we were to trade it in. Just seeing if we can get any more for it. If we are going to trade it into the garage then they'll probably sell it for around €5,500!

Post a picture of your EX car here!!

206 made a comeback last week, so I offered to give it a clean. Was just finished cleaning the focus, and everything was out. Well timed!

Some of these pics are very bad quality. Still in good condition however. Only 600 miles put on it since last October! My DIY paint job on the grille is holding up perfect :)

This one is from before we sold it on. Left it immaculate.
