I looked at 4 celica a few weeks ago. Very hard to find one like yours.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

i only bought that one around 6 weeks ago :P took a fair bit of holding out though, a lot of them are in a very tired state.

3 series is a very different animal though, driven by the proper wheels for a start :D :pac: does it have cow?

    Cow?

Celica is still on my must own list, there was a lovely import in Louth a few weeks ago, looking for crazy money though

Edit: thanks to Foxhole Norman and a few others in the Buyers forum who persuaded me to get the 'proper' engine

    cow = leather :)

you'd be worse off listening to him, he's nearly as biased as me :P

Bit slow there! Black but needs a good clean!

Is yours the 190? How often do you use the extra?

I was convinced by the lads here to go with the 6 pot too, albeit mine is a 320, not 325. Best decision ever really.

Sweet!!!! What colour are you going for in the end? I still think a brown would be best! Would really bring it back tot he colour schemes of the AE86

Going Gloss black! Brown would be nice but I've my mind set, I think:pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 338 ✭✭m-i-m-m-

fair play, that'l look excellent. is that exactly where you are going to place the colour? have you considered the way the "original" 86 done it, with the second line of black above the solid black colour. it blends the two colours nicely, the difference is very harsh at the moment. cool looking, but harsh

Bit of quick hack photoshop job, but think I might agree...

you need to start a thread, with a poll. stripe all the way for me!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,616 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

Strip for me, shows more thought and reflection on the history of these.

Not everyone will appreciate that but it gives the car a lot of kudos.

I really love those Toyotas, sorry I never owned one

Bishop today, was out at the classic show at Swords. Done some serious hauling, only a few hundred miles from ticking over the big 10k milestone in my ownership too

what do people think of these 17" alloys? feel like I need a fresh set.

    17" ATS Präzision
Satin Black with Double Polished Rim

will these even fit my OEM ones?

    Front 225/45 R17 / 245/45 R17 8.5Jx17 ET40 / 9Jx17 ET40 5x114.3
    Rear 225/45 R17 8.5Jx17 ET39 5x114.3

Hard to say as its an unusual wheel, If it were me it would depends on how much they cost but its not a bad looking thing. I will have to find a set of wheels for my own car soon.

Edit, found a picture of them on a car and IMO looks a little busy.

What's wrong with your alloys Chris? Kerbed?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,865 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

    They'll cheapen the car.

    Plus they're mank.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,974 ✭✭✭Chris_Heilong

No, just want something a little bit lighter and a different style. Something like these.

Completely wrong for the car in the pic without a doubt.
As you say, an unusual wheel - only certain cars could pull it off. Something mean looking.

on hindsight a bit tacky alright..!

I think F SPORT ones are what to get, only I seen 19" so far and way too costly., actually i might just get mine done dark graphite. I dont have a whole lot of room if I want OEM wheels.

What kind of car is it that you are putting the alloys on? Is it the Volkswagen as pictured above?

Jaysus, didn't realise he posted the Lexus too.

Hachiko, definitely don't put those alloys on the Lexus, wouldn't suit it at all.

Only after noticing it now too!

The alloys you have are nice in your car. But if you do want new ones then I'd suggest that you go for original Lexus alloys.
