No no, I was walking around looking at all the mark 1 and mark 2 golfs, jettas (and a vr6 corrado) that were on really cool alloys and slammed to the floor. 1.6 diesel + bbs alloys + slammed = FTW!

Losing the number plate surround and fitting pressed metal plates (no screws) would transform the front of your golf so much.

I agree 100% and they are actually next on the list! What do you use to secure them without the crappy screws though??

Double sided tape all the way, the chunky 3m stuff or similar and the wont budge.

Wasn't a straight swap, but close enough.

And will do... I always get rid of those surrounds.

101 bhp... well back in the year 2000 anyway. :P

In preparation for my drive to the Le Mans 24 Hours, I decided to forgo 'just' stickering up my car and went all out instead.
For anyone who thinks its a bit weird or doesn't understand the point google 'stickered up for le mans' images. It might make me seem less weird :D

    Golf hatchback is 1049 kg
    Bora is 1137 kg

Hey, it's not a 1.4 or a rough arse TDI.

The 1.6 is probably the one i'd have.

    Congrats gvidor :)

Was dead reliable and cheap and easy to work on :)

Mr Focus, have you that astra spruced up yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,875 ✭✭✭Foxhole Norman

I'm surprised Gvidor, proved me wrong anyway, good luck with it!

Not sure what you mean by spruced up :)

It's cleaned and has a test valid until Jan 2015, chuffed with that!

It's doing a 52 mile round trip to work daily and is not giving an ounce :)

I'll never get as good of value from anything ever again I guarantee that!
