I prefer it to the A4, the rear looks better proportioned.

Nope, after four years it was time for a change. No regrets, so far anyways...

Took more pictures earlier this evening:

So did I, but there comes a point where you need to **** or get off the pot. I've always wanted a GTI and no better time than now. They do everything very, very well. Not many MKVI GTIs on the road here either, so feels nice.

Yes, but nothing OTT. It'll be a car for driving rather than parking up and looking pretty. I won't be going the air suspension / stance route.

Love the alloys on the golf :)

I have like a million pics of my cars. Park, walk away looking back at the car, take a few steps back, pull out the phone, take some pics... walk away, still looking back at the car. :P

I had it gone before camera phones came out. Didn't own a camera back then either. Sure the country is full of met silver 1.4 golfs. Not something I need to be reminded of.

Wow, sounds like you stick with your cars for a very long time. I've had 10 different cars since 2012. :P

    Was that 1.4 Golf a mk3?

Same as my current one almost, just went from petrol to diesel. 3dr to 5dr. Had it 4 years.

Should've went the other way, although the 1.4 is not the greatest engine.

Much prefer this car. My friends love it, my dad too. Says it's more exciting than his A6.

Don't get me wrong, I like mk4's, I had two myself, but I'd take a 1.8T over 1.9D if given the choice.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,865 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

Well wear Paddy. Look forward to seeing what you do with it given the fantastic job you made of the E90. Every time I saw that car on the road my neck hurt afterwards:)

166 working well at the moment.... Standard carpet change here...!

It's amazing when you take them apart you realise how well and over engineered they are as cars. Really impressive the quality throughout.
