Fantastic looking R, thought it was an estate in the first pic, was thinking "are they making R estates now?!". :D Loose those plate surrounds asap!

Set of pressed plates are on order ;)

The Golf R is available as an estate. GTi isn't though.

Not in Ireland (as of now) I'm afraid. VW Ireland in their infinite wisdom have decided not to bring it in.

Single cylinder daysul would probably sell here. Air cooled and no turbo

I can understand it alright, even an average Golf in estate form is not a big seller in Ireland. The Irish just don't like estates much.

Yeah that seems to be the thinking. The one drawback with the hatch is the boot - it's on the small side and it's even a tad smaller than the rest of the Golf range due to the 4Motion setup.

    Makes no sense tbh.

Estate is all about a size. And we are not talking inches here:D

Aye we do, but it hasn't got the most practical boot opening in the world...! The bbq was just too big so another solution was sought!

Mostly due to the machine polish it got 6 months ago, id say. Amazing how long the results of a days work last on a car. Silver is my least favourite car colour, I think, but I genuinely do think that Focus is glossier and shinier looking than many other much, much newer silver cars I see and park beside.

I agree the focus looks okay, but even if there was a slight tint of another colour in there I think it'd look nicer.

To be honest, I don't think it's even that I dislike silver itself, it's more that I am just tired of seeing it I think. Everything these days seems to be silver. I dunno if there's a way of finding out car colour stats, but I'd guess silver and white make up 80% of sales.
