    @crowded house
    Looks gorgeous.
Any chance of an interior photo too?
Would love to see the oyster against the blue.
Would be interested in your driving observation of the 4gc versus the 3 saloon too considering they have the same engine.

Thanks - yes will try to take a couple when I get a chance.

    (P.S It's Ivory but they're similar)

CH curious to know what's 5 door 4 series like space wise interior, boot? Would it be able to handle a family of four with young kids. I know the 3 series wouldn't.

Thinking few years down the line 430 might be ideal :o.

    Plenty :pac:

Ah no, very rare, some of the bigger ramps it does but on normal ones no.
The back roads ain't great around me and it never touches. Although the coilovers are solid enough!

I know :( I was very close to asking for my money back but I think that panel can be replaced on its own.

How come you didn't buy straight from crowded house?
Would that not have worked out better for both of you?
Btw get some black m performance grilles. Makes the car look way better than the standard chrome and not an expensive change.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,854 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

That's a rather private question haha

CH had his plan laid out long before I expressed interest and I suppose he felt more comfortable with that.

What if I like the grilles the way they are? :P

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 701 ✭✭✭carsfan

Apologies didn't want to intrude on your business. I suppose you will benefit from the approved warranty now anyway which could be valuable.
I had the grilles on my car which was also estoril. I thought they looked great and BMW were doing an offer on them at the time.
    Car looks great either way.
I hope you enjoy it. Has it many extras? I see the 19" alloys and M brakes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,079 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

    Chrome grilles look nicer IMO

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,854 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

I was only joking with ya, no problem with questions :)

I'll look into the black grilles for sure. First things on my list are M Performance boot lip spoiler and pedals. They are throwing in the M Performance mats for me.

It has adaptive headlights, adaptive M sport suspension, Harmon kardon sound with Logic 7, extended storage, heated seats, BT handsfree, ZF 8 speed sport auto box with paddle shift and the dash is the one with the digital display underneath and across the dials.

The alloys have whiteworm on them (not CH's fault) so they are all being replaced under warranty. I'm considering that an extra :P

I like the chrome grilles better myself :)

I've looked at the black ones and I'm still fonder of the chrome myself.

Black grills on BMWs are like German plates imo - they were nice at the beginning but far too common now. I like to stay OEM these days.
