The Mondeos (or Fusion ) over in the states look much better then the boring ones over here. What is it the 1.5 ecoboost ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,454 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    are they not the same?
    that's a 2.0 ecoboost AFAIK

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,190 ✭✭✭Mister Jingles

They are yea but the fusion gets the nicer looking alloys/bigger wheels which doesn't make the car look out of proportion. I'd assume but open to correction that it is better speced as well.

Oh and would I be right in saying that the 1.6 psa unit is unheard of over there ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,575 ✭✭✭166man

MJ - I'd definitely agree with you. Nicer wheels is really all the difference but the spec is much better, I think anyway.

This one is the 2.0T ecoboost. Excellently engine if thirstier than expected.

Haven't see a single diesel one over here so far. I will say that there are plenty of diesel BMW's here (relatively speaking). No 520d's but quite a few with the 35d engine.
