    And keep the horizon straight!

    I've found my 50mm ain't great for cars, I'd like something a little wider, 30, 32 maybe.

    Money though.

50 f/1.8s have gotten awful expensive, Nikon's always were. Canons not so much. I remember getting mine for ~€35-50 or there abouts. Now they're closer to 100+

I take it you don't go near back roads too often Paddy, it'd break your heart!

Not at all. If it was a hindrance, I wouldn't fit it to the car. The E90 chassis is great because everything is tucked up under the car and it has a perfectly flat underneath. The lowest parts are the jacking points at the front and rear.

I still want to run the car on air though :o

Not at the meet but it was just there, then it was loaded onto a trailer and off it went

Can a Diesel really be an M sport?

  • Registered Users Posts: 368 ✭✭MortGoldman

Obviously I don't view it as a sports car, to me, M-Sport means exterior aesthetic package only, seeing as how most M-Sport trim cars here seem to have absolutely no extras, or even leather based on what I found!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,875 ✭✭✭Foxhole Norman

M-Sport has a sports suspension setup too as far as I know. It may be a diesel but they're still nippy with 192hp and mountains of torque even before remaps!

Well, you've just gone and ruined the car!

    Anyone for an E39?

Yes, because M sport a styling/features pack not a //M badge. M sport is not motorsport division.

Now that I didnt know. so an M sport is not the same thing as an M3, M5 ect.

Not even close sunshine :D :pac:

M-sport pack cars have mostly visual upgrades over the bog standard version. So 325Ci vs 325Ci Msport. Same engine, same running gear, same brakes, etc. M-sport does get stiffer suspension and lowered slightly, but the majority of upgrades are visual. M-sport front/rear bumpers, side-skirts, black headlining, sports seats, sports steering wheel, alloy wheel upgrade, etc etc. It's still the same car, just (factory) tarted up.

M3, M5 etc are a whole different animal altogether. 99% of parts on that car, from factory, are only fitted on that car. They don't get shared across the range (but a lot will fit).

For example - M3 alloys, M3 interior, steering wheel, etc can all be retrofitted to standard 3 series. With some messing you can even fit the M3 bumpers and bonnet.

I get it now, just when people were mentioning M sport I just assumed they were talking about the super spec M cars.

Back on topic. Hope to be driving her again by Friday.
