Barely run in from what I can see of the mileage.
    Those Mercs are bulletproof.

thanks, 125k on the clock now, so plenty of life left in her, and I plan to hold on to her for some time yet. I'm the 4th keeper from new. Last owner had her for nigh on 18 years.

Technically not mine, but its the courtesy car I have for a week while my RCZ is away having some stuff looked at. It's a 208 e-HDI Feline.

Tis a funky looking yoke that 208

Are you based in Limerick with that RCZ? Passed a white one on Uk plates down the road from my house last week.

Its a nice looking car - but those low profiles make me cringe thinking about the bumps in the road

Very good spec tbh. Sat nav, full glass sunroof, the lot.

I was working in Limerick for all of last week, so you probably saw me, I had it down with me.

Because isn't the ariel in that model A4 in the rear screen?

as far as i know, that generation a4 had the aerial incorporated into the rear screen i think. they have no aerial pole on show anyway, that's for sure.

so whatever that is, is probably just stuck on doing nothing. unless the car has a fancy sat nav retrofit or something.

tidy a4 regardless, hard to find one that clean now they are the asshats car of choice.

edit: flip you DZ!!! beating me to all the posts this evening.

It was also a troublesome part, so many people replaced it with aftermarket aerials or boosters.

I'm not saying this is real, but I've seen a few B6 A4s with external aerials.

    Looks wrong either way.

There was one on the E39 when I got it. Didn't last long!

Didn't know there was problems with them. I thought people were doing it for "style" alone. I suppose they must fail over time like the heating elements on the window do too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 955 ✭✭✭Mister Man

I'm not actually sure myself if it's just stuck on, or if it's actually an aerial. Hasn't bothered me enough to take it off. Need to get the power steering pump changed on it before worrying about that!

please do :) you got me in the 6 month NCT thread too.

if the aerial is functional i suppose that makes it ok. otherwise it's quite ironic to be fitting a style conscious aerial, to a car that was designed with such a conscious effort put on the aerial style that it was incorporated into the windscreen so as to not have to fit one externally at all :pac:.

Gave the outside of the golf a bit of a clean today. Needs a good cleaning on the inside though which Ill do in the next week or so. Just looking at that picture I'm glad I got the boot door replace it really made the car look rough and immediately caught your eye.

I know it looks bad in that picture although it does rarely tow a trailer. It would look way better without one alright.

Some new wheels went onto the Levin today. Picked up these Racing Hart tuner-r's very very cheap... proper Japanese two piece forged wheels, nice and light and strong. Much better fitment and a kilo lighter than the Enkeis that were on it. 4x new Falken Ziex on there too. Very happy!

That is a very nice car. Looks mint. How much were the alloys? Is it lowered?

Cheers, ya its in fairly good nick. There were €350, pretty good as the only other sets I could find in these sizes were in the U.S and up for around $1200, which is €900 euro-ish. In very good cond too. Its lowered a bit alright, about 40mm or so, hard to be 100% as it was already lowered when I got it.
