Its a 1.8 ES. The rear lights and front grill are non original. Def get the grille, it freshens the car up no end.

Mmm it is tasty. I'm totally undecided though, so I'll give it some thought. Mines just a bog-spec 1.4, so no fogs or lovely exhausts :(

Nice non-standard wheels on mine though, came with them so I'd imagine there wasn't even alloys to start with.

What's different with the rear lights?

    They're the 2009 facelift type

    Ah. Very nice indeed.

You can get plastic triangles with chrome edge on them, they came on the facelift si model. Hard to tell the difference between the real thing unless you're looking. I'd imagine they're interchangeable with yours.

Yeah the exhausts are the only real bummer on my car, they're so lovely. Another thing for the buy list!

Oh, one more question: my clutch was sqeaking a bit in the cold yesterday. Not when you release it as in a bearing gone/going, but the actual mechanics of the pedal (in and out). Sound familiar? Hopefully just a one off, as it didn't happen today.

Happens in mine all the time, nothing to worry about

    First post!

Old & new, both in the family. Audi TT mk 1 (225) and Audi TT mk 2 TTS.

Complete coincidence they're both the same colour. Not sure if we'll make it a hatrick with the mk 3 being released.

Likely my last Christmas with this. Paying 900 for six months road tax isn't conducive to saving for a house deposit. Goodbye youth. :(

It's frostier down here in Ros Comáin. White grass everywhere and a bit of visible ice on the driveway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,193 ✭✭✭Cleveland Hot Pocket

Aye that was at 3 pm or so yesterday.
Back to 100% white this morning hai!

Would have been a fun evening to be driving an RWD car :P

Yep, plenty of headroom for a duramax f350 with dual stacks whenever I get one :pac:

Well mine 4 cylinders of fury roared into life earlier after two days of ice / frost covering. So I took her for a we spin in the sunshine. Still of bit slippery in places along back roads though.

900 Euro for six months of road tax?! Seriously? I've not lived in Ireland for a number of years and I remember road tax being a joke (well mostly the auld fella complaining about it), but is that seriously how much you have to pay? How big is the engine in that thing, improv?
