    Cool. Any idea when they're opening? I'd assume they're aiming for the summer. Also, where abouts will it be? The more pubs opening the better

    It also says "we will be located in Limerick City Hotel (formely Jurys Inn, Dock Rd/Henry Street)" on the FB page so it's definitely there.

    Actually, any idea who is starting this up? I know a guy who moved to Dubai last year and worked in the one there. He also ran a very well known pub in town here just before he moved abroad. Just wondering if he is behind the limerick branch. Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

    Fella who usta dj on spin works for them too in Dubai , John Hayes . No idea if he is involved though

    The guy I know dj's for them in Dubai too I think and used to DJ here before running a bar. Fairly well known. It's not john hayes, I know (of) him too.

    Nothing different. Limerick badly needs more late bars.


    I've heard 3 stories about whetherspoons. No idea how true any of them are.

    They've bought the building that Nevada smiths/foxys/bitter end was in plus a few of the adjoining buildings.

    They're going into quins.

    They have their eye on Teds.

    yea seems the usual rumors i suppose

    i was just wondering what the story was with this place as i never heard of it. hopefully it wont be an over expensive "hotel bar" instead of trying to get a local regular crowd

    It's going into the part of Jury's that's between the sinking church and the hotel reception on the ground floor.
