RadioCrackle is a web based radio station and its looking for people to talk about sport, fishing, hobbies, local tourism .... any kind of talk show. Its easy enough to do, you can either broadcast live or pre-record and the show can be on anything but music (too many issues involved with music). To pre-record all you need is a laptop, a cheap mic and some free recording software.

If anyone's interested, let me know here, or send me a PM.

I would love to give it a go as I've wanted to get into radio for a while. My laptop is currently being repaired but I hope to get a replacement or get it repaired soon. I have experience with making vlogs and have a youtube account. (Look up AshyShash) Here's a podcast I did before:

You can email me *MOD SNIP* Please don't give out your contacts on an open forum, use PM

    Thanks!!!

They're not looking for full time DJ's, I think it's weekend cover staff etc. But no worries, just giving you a heads up.

Given Anti Water Charges, Bye Elections, Marriage Equality & Presidential Age Referenda etc. have you thought about Talk Radio as part of the station?

Regarding the ME Referenda the LGBT Soc in IT Carlow or Carlow College would surely put someone forward esp. given their Media & PR Courses, TV Courses etc.?

Plenty of proponents of Water Charge Protest Marches who'd love a (nother?) chance to air their views. Those who agree with the charges are often unheard too so would appreciate an opportunity to counter such arguments.

Similarly regarding the Bye-Election in May plenty of councillors, candidates willing to speak I'd imagine?

Interest in the above will depend on the demographic of listener to mind....

    Is there still slots available?

Also what frequency would you need? Would once per week suffice?

I totally agree - any of the talk shows on there at present dont cover anything like that. If anyone knows anyone who wants to do such a show, point them my way or ask them to email studio@radiocrackle.com

one a week, once every two weeks or once a month would suit. Send me an outline of your idea etc to studio@radiocrackle.com and we'll go from there.
