LeBron with less minutes than Wade and Bosh. How's that working out, Spo?

Wade is showing Lance not to run his mouth when it comes to injuries. Gob****e

Great start for the Pacers, need to win this one cos they won't play better than this. Stephenson and West playing well.

My fellow Pacers brethren, we're nearly there. Only 24 minutes remaining till WE take Game 1. Gold swagger dripping down from the rafters of the Fieldhouse, searing and blinding LeBron in the post as Sir Lancelot overpowers him to make it a 10 point lead going into half time. So exciting.

Oh, and Bosh might want to get on a plane from Miami to Indiana for the second half from a Miami perspective.

Blue collar, yellow swagger. They can't handle it! Pacers will sweep these scrubs!

GF just pointed out that Spoelstra looks like a CSI villain.

    Why yes, yes he does.

Enjoying how this is going so far.

Caught in two mindsets watching this...

On one hand, my attitude towards the NBA is that the format insures you go an unpredictable route to a predictable outcome. You just have to spot what that predictable outcome is. It's seemed like 'The Heat 3-Peat' all season, but now I'm wondering if it's, 'The Pacers go to work in the off-season and come back ready for a title'...and we've just taken a detour the past few months. I never bought into the crisis talk too much during the regular season, how often does that happen before a team turns out to be exactly who we thought they were in the end? Form is temporary and all that.

On the other, with the Jalen Rose Report fresh in my ears, he made a great point about how everyone gets over-excited when an underdog wins Game 1 and tips them for the series against all conventional wisdom. The Pacers haven't even won and you've never really won until it's official when LeBron is on the court.

TLDR: I really, really want to be excited about the Pacers here, but I don't want to be let-down.

If the Pacers throw away this 18 point lead...

The Pacers are 5-0 this postseason when Hibbert scores at least 10 points

Pacers really are making Miami look so ordinary here

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,391 ✭✭✭D2D

Yeah Miami, if you'd like to show up and make this a game, please do:)

Hibbert has more free throws than the whole Heat team.............

83-70 Pacers after 3, Heat end the quarter on an 8-2 run

C'mon Pacers, we can do it!

Birdman always plays well against Indiana in his brief time on the floor.

I really like CJ Watson btw, lot of heart.

That has to be a flagrant on Chalmers

    and it is, Flagrant 1

Pacers up 100-84, this might be too much for Miami to come back

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,391 ✭✭✭D2D

That is just ridiculous by LeBron

My boy, PG attempting to flop a few moments ago on the LeBron 4 point play like a superstar. Legend.

    :)

Let's hope we carry this form into game 2.

Hopefully Pacers can go and rob the second game now but doubtful. Least this makes it interesting though :)

That win was all hustle, all heart, all collar and all swagger. Take a bow non-sing when winning Pacers fans. Wait? Just me then? Fine.

Pacers take Game 1 by 11.

    Pacers dominate Game 1 107-96

    Story of this game:

    - Pacers going hard to the basket, get fouled and make the free throws
    - Heat not going into the paint, instead going cold trying to make 3's
    - Every Pacer starter had a great game
    - Bosh had an awful game

    :D

The amusing thing was that I was genuinely rooting for the Pacers despite the OTT posts. A lot of moohlah on them :)

    Says it all

Free throw shooting in Game 1
    Pacers- 29 for 37
    Heat- 10 for 15

3 Point attempts in Game 1
    Pacers- 8-19
    Heat- 6-23

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Doesn't matter if you criticise the Pacers with legit reasons to back up your points, or if you support them, everything is offensive to some people, and yet those who find it offensive even go as far as to ignore a fellow supporters shenanigans. Nice.

But whatever. Bosh getting torn a new one by the guys on NBA TV right now.

Said it earlier, but that 3 ball will kill Miami. Been mostly stone cold all throughout the playoffs. Pacers shot ridiculously good though, and got a lot of calls in their favour, yet still only win by 11.

Miami will come out differently on Tuesday. There's no way Spoelstra is leaving them shoot more than 20 3's again, not after tonight. They have to drive at the lane and get the contact that sends them to the line, Indy did it tonight and Miami only looked like doing it when Birdman was on the floor
