Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

obvious choice would be king kenny,
you could also put Ian Rush, John Barns, Jan Molby in the mix.
Thing is this team needs a Cm or CB. will go for Alan Hansen by a whisker over lauro and souness.

For Ireland think we need CB more than any other position so paul McGrath

Without doubt it would have to be Seamus Coleman and with hindsight make the club hold on for a 10 million fee and a 50% sell on clause.

Was he always highly rated when he played in the League of Ireland? Was it obvious he'd go on to become as good as he has?

He was definitely highly rated among Sligo Rovers supporters but went largely unnoticed amongst the dublin based media probably because we were rubbish at the time and the 'bigger' known LOI journos may have only seen him when we were away to one of the more successful teams at the time. Admittedly i didnt even think he would go on to be one of the best right-backs in the premier league(arguably the best) but i did think that he was a future irish international and would carve out a good career at lower end of the Premiership/upper level of The Championship.
I remember a game in The Showgrounds in 2008 when we drew 0-0 with Derry in what was probably the greatest scoreless draw ive seen. Seamie was playing right-full and Niall McGinn was playing left-wing for Derry and the 2 of them were miles ahead of everyone else on the pitch. 2 young players, playing without a care in the world and just going at each other as if they were playing their own match. Taught McGinn at the time would go on to be every bit as good as Seamie in his position but he probably hasnt done too bad for himself.

Henry. He would give us the cutting edge we're missing.

For Club without a doubt Dennis Bergkamp. The guy was a genius with a football at his feet!

For Ireland Liam Brady what we could do with a man of his skill today.....
