Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How has utd still got 11 on the field

United haven't received a red card so they still have 11 players on the field.

Stupid shot after a lot of good work. He was never scoring from that angle.

Good enough for McCarthy. His challenge on Mata was very dangerous. Worse than Rooneys

Yes, let's punish one bad tackle with another bad tackle, maybe Barkley should break Rooney's leg in the next one?

Rooney deserves to hobble off too then.

I doubt there will ever be a "Captain, Leader, Legend" banner for Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford :D

Well if the ref is allowing it what do you think the players are going to do?

1 shot on goal after 70 minutes

Nobody should have been sent of yet, how did this nonsense start?

you'd think united would show a bit more urgency here, a europa league spot is slipping from their grasp here

on the other hand, by the logic of some, finishing below 6th makes you a title contender for next season so are they being amazingly shrewd this season?

    Welbeck coming on.

Has he the balls to get Rooney off?

Come on.. Rooney is in no way worth the money they're paying him. He may have his moments but they're increasingly few and far between. He's having another terrible game here today.

Listening to Martin Tyler list out the benefits of this "new" (when does it stop being new actually?) deal, it's clear the only one that's benefiting is Wayne Rooney himself - he must have some good advisers/negotiators!

It also shows Moyes as being a weak manager (as if that wasn't clear already) by being completely beholden to his "star player".

This game is extremely poor. Moyes better than anyone should know what Everton can do and they're completely outclassing United here. It's telling how well Everton have done this year without him too.

As a Liverpool fan I "should" be happy to see this, but as a football fan I say Moyes just needs to go for the good of the players and the club. A few good results does not a top-flight manager make as this game has shown.

I don't know what's worse - when he has he team set up to cross the ball constantly and we can't score or he actually tried to play football and we pass around the midfield all day. Clueless.

In 12 games against top 6 this year - Utd have taken 6 pts - 1 win - and scored 6 goals.

Utterly depressing watching any big game now.

    Great save De Gea

Everton are great to watch on the break. They were 4v3 straight away!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,061 ✭✭✭irishfeen

My god only for De Gea this season things would have even be worse this season...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

Imagine how much worse our season would have been if De Gea weren't the bestest damn guy in the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

De Gea's still a beast, in fairness.

Coleman really does make things happen. Unbelievably influential player, especially considering he's a right back. Delighted Ireland have a player like him these days.

Listening to this match on newstalk in work; the commentary is appalling. Dave "liverpool" Mcintyre is some man. The whole newstalk sports crew seem to be Liverpool fans.

United are looking like a side who will be lucky to be in seventh this time next season. Not a decent chance against what is at best an average side who have been paying above themselves this season. No positives from a united perspective at all.

    Glazers Out!

    Coleman is running riot

Is Deulofeu on the bench? If he is - get him in there

Edit: He is! Get him on!

    I worry about De Gea!!!
I want to tell him it's not his fault, just in case he thinks it is!
Tell him it would be a whole lot worse without him.

Basically tell him whatever Mata tells him to make him smile

Utd back 4 getting no protection from Carrick or Flecther, both have been awful. How Moyes has left Carrick on is beyond me.

Everyon are well worth this scoreline.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Carrick has declined something fierce this season.
Gladly see him off to West Ham in the summer. Might force Moyes hand with some of the "rumoured" transfers

Danny Welbeck gets the ball just outside the box and it ends up as an Everton counterattack within 4 seconds. Some pressure from Everton here.
