    Right.

My defenders curently are (in their playing order this week, first 3 on the field):
    1. Demichelis
    2. Azpi
    3. Ward
    4. Coleman
    5. Rosenior.
Already took an 8 pts hit this week to replace my Everton attackers by the popular United duo. Also got Ramsey in for the injured Silva.
My keepers are Mannone and Adrian.

Current plan is to get a third United player for next week. Originally was going to do Adrian -> De Gea. But could go Coleman or Ward to a United defender. Can afford anyone.

Have to say I'm tempted by Koscielny. Could do Coleman -> Kos & Ward -> United def later. Again can afford anyone and can swallow a couple of price fluctuations.

If no one gets injured or suspended I'll play Demichelis and Azpi for the 3 remaining games. I think Kos could beat either Coleman, Ward or Rosenior by at least 4 pts over the last 3 games. But, if I take him in and a United def I'm gonna face some serious headache next week. Who to leave on the bench ?

So I only see 3 options available to me (tell me if you see other ones ;)):
    1. Do nothing. Play either Azpi or Coleman or Rosenior this week. Get a United def next week. Play Mannone. Don't take additional hits.
    2. Get Kos now. 12 pts hit. But bet for the 3-last-games term. Get De Gea for Adrian next week.
    3. Get Kos now. Get a United def next week and bench either Azpi, Kos (that would actually be stupid to bench him after taking a hit for him) or a midfielder (e.g. Eriksen).

All this talk of -12's is making me think about taking one myself. Worried about not having any United cover so thinking about swapping Gerrard out for Mata. Would leave me with a midfield of..

    Ramsey, Mata, Eriksen, Barkley, Puncheon.

Will wait till the morning and see how I feel then.

I think I may be one of the few with Lukaku left. I have no faith in him but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a -8 to transfer Augero in for him.

    (Next week it'll happen!)

Madness not having Augero at this stage imo, he could easily make back the -8 and still get more points than Lukaku on top of that! You still have time to pull that trigger :P

    :D

I have my team open right now...

Edit: feck it. Why am I playing it safe? I'm 80 points ahead in my main league and between the trio of Rooney, Ramsey, and Aguero I'll surely make up the -8 hit it cost to bring them in!

If Aguero is ****e and Lukaku somehow isn't, I'm blaming you HighClass, for it. :pac:

Went for the -8 on the basis that most people will go at least -4, so really I'm only going -4, which I'm comfortable with. Probably a stupid way to look at it but I'm confident each of my three new players will outscore the player that would have had to play by at least 4.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,654 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

My rival has just made the one transfer which I reckon is Silva to Ramsey as he can't afford Rooney without taking a -4. Now 40 points behind him after my -8...need 2 massive performances from Mata and Rooney (c)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,064 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Silva, Mirallas, Ade out. Rooney, Ramsey and Nasri in. -8 hit. Would prefer Mata to Nasri but .3 short

Lot of people are making changes so that makes me more comfortable with the -8.

Hoping for a big week. Had my first big week in AGES last week and I really would like to finish strong and end somewhere between 20-30k. I'd be happy with that! Still to-ing and fro-ing between Rambo and Rooney for captaincy. This game would drive you a bit mad.

I'd drop Puncheon. I reckon Puncheon's glory days are over. But who knows really?

im leaning that way but the 16 11 12 3 in the past 4 weeks
is just about as good as anyone

*I* think the best case scenario for Palace vs. City is a 0-0 draw. I can't see them scoring more than 1 against City, whereas City have the potential to score more.

Granted, there's nothing to say that Yaya will be effective either. Coin toss and see what way you want it to land? That's the magic of the coin toss after all.

    exactly what I did
    punch won the coin toss

he could be the miracle I need to catch that lad in second

    Good luck!

I'm almost never brave enough to take risks in this game so I enjoy when people do. Though it's is somewhat arguable as to how much of a risk Puncheon is given his recent run of form. :pac:

    Agree

If I was 53 ahead rather than 53 behind it would
    have been yaya
had him since gw 2, pretty sure this is the only time hes been
    on my bench
just hoping that lad doesnt bring yaya back in this week

Puncheon ahead of Yaya is all kinds of crazy, on any weekend, never mind this one!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,128 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

Level at the top of my money league. 9 of the same players. He captains Ramsey, I'm on Rooney. The season hangs on this duel!!!

I meant to comment on this earlier. All I'll say is there's a reason Yaya is 10 million and Puncheon near half it!

I hope it works out for ya but I can see Yaya being pushed forward late on because the City Palace game will be tight.

There is another option, if you really want both.

You could leave out Bony. I don't fancy him to score against villa.

I see it being a tight game also, possibly 0-0 1-0 0-1 and for that
reason I think I can escape lightly should it be an away win and ive backed palace to win or draw at 2/1 also

    I do myself

a case of bony and giroud v lukaku and aguero is what im up against
same mids puncheon v gerrard the one difference
hes captained suarez v rambo for me
really feel this is where I can make up ground

Will probably get in Zab, not sure for who yet though.
Whether or not to take a hit to get in Yaya for Nasri is something that'll weigh on my mind.

I just dropped Suarez for Rooney, kept Giroud and Aguero, obviously would have dropped Giroud if I had the cash instead.
Cant see anyone captaining Suarez for the next two weeks so risk is minimised. Captaining Rooney

Also brought in Mata for Silva for the four point hit (well the four point hit is really the Rooney transfer)

Leaves me cash for Zab next week without any hit

Think united could run riot tomorrow

    BOOM!

It's Chelsea, he's not going to go to town on them, I'd be happy if Suarez scores in a 1-0 win!
Up to 28k, happy enough after a bad season

    ah ya

my heart ruling my head there

    to rub in it
hart on the bench ahead of speroni
my loyalty to punch and speroni has killed my gw

ive still cut my rival to around 46/47pts from 53
with capt rambo to play and giroud
    he only has rambo
stick in yaya and its 35 or so
stick in hart and its 31
and while im at it stick in ivan and its 25 or so

    was never putting in ivan

most points ive had on the bench all season and maybe
the second time ive had double figures there

theres still an outside chance as im pretty sure he will capt aguero
next week so maybe my choice could do something spectacular

I did have dimic so didnt want to double up on city either as it has backfired quite a bit lately
with them conceded in their last five

Well, despite Ramsey taking the gloss of the screenshot somewhat, taking a -12 was the best move I made in a while. :)

Net gain of 14 points after the hit and points of outgoing players.

Had a quick look at the clean sheet odds on bet365 for this game week (why don't I do this every week)..

    Best 6 in order are:
    Arsenal 10/11
Swans and Man City both 11/10
    Man Utd 6/5
    Sunderland 13/8
Fulham and west Brom both 7/4

Palace are at 7/1 (3rd worst) and West Ham 9/2

The two worst are Newcastle 9/1 and Norwich 8/1.....

Chelsea are at 5/1!! Liverpool 2/1.

Bookies weren't far wrong on this btw....

Went for option 1. Played Coleman ahead of Azpi in the end.

Options 2 and 3 are laughing at me now...
Would have been delighted to leave it as it was when I posted this message though.

    That said,
    Silva (0) -> Ramsey (2)
    Lukaku (2) -> Rooney (13x2)
    Barkley (1) -> Mata (13)
in this respective order, worked above expectations.

Would have captained Ramsey had I not gone for the hits. Would have captained either Suarez or Aguero with no transfers.

Could be my best ever productive hit .

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

My transfers and the -8 were:
    Lukaku(2)-->Aguero(2).
    Sturridge(1)-->Rooney(13x2).
    Lallana(3)-->Ramsey(2).

Rooney worked out and obviously Aguero will outscore Lukaku next week (I presume anyway :pac:) but transfer number 3 was a fail...however it did free up vital funds for my Yaya transfer.

It's a bit of meh really.
