Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mens slim fit trousers

I am looking to buy some mens slim fit trousers for work, I previously bought trousers from Topman for day to day trousers in work (business casual) however have found that they really only do skinny fit these days in their suit/non casual section.

Anyone know of any good stores for a decent pair of slim fit trousers. I have tried around other stores but can't find a decent fit, Zara trousers are too long (and I am not small) just the fit appears to have the fit but not length, don't mind spending a little more if needed.

    Thanks.

    Have you tried M&S?
All types of sizes and styles in there.

Have not gone into M&S in a while, if they do modern fit/slim fit I will give them a look. As for the topman website, the selection for slim fit is really poor. Black or Grey. But thanks!

If the trousers from Zara are a good fit (apart from being a bit long), then why not buy a pair and get them taken up? It won't cost more than a tenner

Try Next and Burton, both should have what you're looking for in your size.

Thanks for the replies. Have tried Next and could not find any sizes that suited. I am between 30 and 32, some places appear that I need 33 but that makes the trousers too baggy and the back of the thigh, others I would need a 28 but legs would be too tight. Must give Burton a shot again as it has been a long time.

Strange as with jeans I am always a 30.

    Thanks for all the responses.

Forget the skinny fit and go with 'tailored' - as they're calling it these days.

I find Burton good for smaller sizes and while the quality can be a bit suspect at times, you can get some decent trousers from time to time. Have a look here.

I'm a recent convert to clothing alterations if they're not exactly to my liking (often the case if your body size doesn't quite fit 'average' dimensions), trousers can be taken in on the waist and leg with relative ease if you have access to a good tailoring service and are willing to accept the extra cost.
