Gonna have to be pretty big for them to make a big deal of it.

I'm saying Sabbath or Aerosmith in The Point

I heard a few names bandied about from a reputable source but I won't share here, I'll wait for confirmation instead to be sure.

I'm going to have a guess and say that Metallica are coming back to Ireland for 2 nights.

I can guarantee it's NOT Metallica, if they were gonna play here they would have tagged it either side of Soni UK, those dates are now full, ya know how they plan everything meticulously to save money, going from UK, to mainland Europe, then back to Ireland isn't financially viable

I was going to say it can't be Aerosmith as they referenced metal fans but it is MCD though and knowing our luck it'll probably be Feckin kodaline or some other equivalent tripe!

Apparently this popped up on the new events on Ticketmaster.ie but has now been removed

Well if it popped up on New Events on Ticketmaster, then removed again, safe to say it'll be Slayer coming to Ireland.

Kerry, Tom (who can't sing or hear) and two stand-ins aren't Slayer.

I'd pay twice as much to see Vader player a Slayer set.

Did you not go to last years Slayer gigs? Were amazing.

As for the 2 stand ins WTF do you want? Jeff died, horribly inconvenient for the likes of yourself i know, Gary Holt is an extremely competent replacement and Bostoph, although he's no Lombardo he's still a beast behind the kit.

Did you just want them to retire?

I'll step out now, I wouldn't want to see this incarnation of Slayer.

In all fairness if it is indeed Slayer, i'd still go see them live, who cares if it's Gary Holt & Paul Bostaph on guitar & drums respectively, both are brilliant musicians, who are in the band due to circumstances beyond their control...... Gary was already filling in for Jeff and is continuing on in Jeff's place, and Paul was brought in because Lombardo jumped ship.

**** happened with Slayer, Tom & Kerry decided to carry on with Gary & Paul.
That's how i see it.

The same sort of show they have going in Hyde Park on July 4th and I'll be a very happy boy. To be honest, if Faith No More is involved I don't really care either way!
