microphone on laptop not working

    Its a presario CQ60 and ppl cant hear me on skype but I can hear them perfectly, definat3ly the microphone as I carried out a voicevrecording to play back but couldnt l7sten to it, really need to get this working all replies appreciated

    Could be a thousand and one things.

    Three that come to my head are:

    Dust, which means it can't catch your voice

    Loose wire


    Or it's bolloxed.

    Oh and maybe it's not switched on?
