I don't think either team will be too disappointed with this.

Chelsea will definitely be the happier.

Well there an English station commentating on an English team. What do you expect.

It's to be expected. They are desperate for chelsea to make the final as viewing figures are huge when an english team are involved.

Only a team managed by Maureen could ruin a Champions League semi-final as a spectacle.
    Horrible tactics.

Yep. Atletico are well capable of getting a goal there.

Dire dour tripe football mourinho serves up. All the millions and this is it. I would be sick if this was how Liverpool played, rafa was never this negative.

Think the big winners tonight will be the Atletico fans who hope to keep Costa in the summer.

    Dunno.

Not getting an away goal is dodgy.

1 goal from Athletico and Chelsea need 2

Plenty of time left for a BA goal :)

Not that sure about that with Terry, Cech and Lampard out next week and no away goal.

I think Mourinho thinks he needed an away goal in this tie. Atletico well capable of hitting Chelsea away from home on the break. Could end up being two 0-0 draws with pens, but I'd side slightly with Atletico to go through.

Victory for football, shut down the Atleti goal machine.

Meh, people always overstate this stuff. Chelsea now have 90 minutes at home, win and you go to the final. So many worse scenarios.

Would you have Sheffield United or Wigan as one of the top teams in England?

I'd have Bayern, Barca, Real and Atletico in the top bracket. Chelsea the one below.

You would have Atletico ahead of Chelsea on what basis?

You could have always changed the channel.
Or downloaded all new Dallas or whatever.

Atletico will have to do more than high balls in and try to beat the keeper with a header.

Switched off the game at half time to play final fantasy, seems I didn't miss much.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

How much did the Chelsea team cost compared to Atletico?? Pathetic, as usual by Mourinhio. How could you support a team with that dire football anytime they play a half decent team.

And as a player why would you sign to play anti-football?? Surely no amount of money is worth being stifled on the world stage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,603 ✭✭✭grumpymunster

Not sure who this favours could still go either way. Most semi finals are tight tense affairs so much at stake, I can understand Liverpool fans forgetting that.

Pretty much every other manager has failed to not concede against that fantastic Madrid side for me Jose takes a good portion of the credit for this result.

Oh cmon lloyd, anyone can throw ten men behind the ball and shut up shop. It was 90 minutes of ****housery from mourinho. A decent result for em i guess, even though it gives atleti the edge in the second half imo. A masterclass? Hardly.

I was expecting more from AM. Chelsea made them look ordinary tonight.

About as serious as people claiming we should have went out and tried play and give Atelti the advantage.

A draw isnt the worse result, any result next week where we win and we go through, happy TBH.

Mourinho not shaking Simeone's hand. The man is as classless as they come.
He's gone from the man people love to hate to the man everyone just hates.
