Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The second round of pre-orders is coming so you won't need an invite, but you'll have to order within that hour as noted below:

Starting now, you can begin filling your shopping cart to prepare for the big event. Pre-orders kick off on November 17 at 16:00 GMT (08:00 PST, 11:00 EST) for one hour only. Your One will be just a click away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,900 ✭✭✭daytob

    boards thread with phone info/discussion.
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2057195395
    OnePlus shop/forum
    http://oneplus.net/

The total cost of the Phone + parcel motel is €358.

Oneplus have said they will be releasing invites from Monday 21st.

Please note:You need to join the OPO website to claim invites and you need to use Parcel Motel & PayPal to purchase. It might help things go smoother down the line if anyone interested registers on those 3 sites now.

Really is a lovely phone, battery life has been going from strength to strength the last few days which is always good to see.

Is anyone using a car mount for it, or is any standard one acceptable (given the increased size of it)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 Trevaldo

Preorder setup alright but they are still accepting invites in the meantime.

From what I'm reading here opo were true to their word - if you order with an invite you'll get the phone way faster then via a preorder. If you're persistent you can get an invite within 48 hours on the OPO site especially if you avoid the "fastest finger" type threads. Boards is often even quicker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,513 ✭✭✭digitaldr

Just ordered an opo from the German site to keep costs down so missed out on the new UK charger :( Reckon I'll go with a blackberry playbook charger off Amazon anyway.

Not only that, but there are a plethora of custom ROMs, including an officially supported one (Color OS) that can be flashed without affecting your warranty. You can also theme the stock OS to suit your liking if flashings not your thing.

There's even a Samsung S5 theme but God knows why you'd want to use it!

Parcelmotel which worked fine but ordered one yesterday and used mailboxde.com as it works about a bit cheaper so I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

Yep mine came tonight in parcel motel along with all of the accessories I ordered. It also came with a UK plug which is grand given that some people in the UK didn't get the UK plug.

Express. According to DHL it arrived in Newtownabbey 12:32 today. So it's on it's way to dublin now via parcel motel.

    Hi,
There are three separate threads on the oneplus one and I don't have time to read them all. Can someone answer these questions for me please:

    1. How to avoid import tax-is the phone shipping from China, so parcel motel is what I need to use? I've never used it before but I'll figure it out as long as this is the right way to go about it.

    2. Will the phone work on Vodafone pay as you go?

    Thanks in advance.

If you are ordering from Oneplus.net then you dont need to pay customs and import tax. Parcel motel basically is a northern ireland address that would be like a po box number and they will deliver it down to your nearest parcel motel kiosk * usually near shopping centres or petrol stations, so check if there is one close to you.
Thats if you order from Oneplus.net uk branch. The eu oneplus allows you to ship to Germany but I have never used that

If however you order from any of the other places like amazon or aliexpress etc then I am afraid I cant help, sometimes they get stung for customs, sometimes they dont

    2. Will the phone work on Vodafone pay as you go?
It will work afaik but I am unsure if it will work on vodafones 4g service. It wasnt supposed to but I think I read that it now might

I have had it for 2 weeks now and I like what I have seen from it so far. No major issues from it so far.
