Very, very best of luck to all who are lucky enough to be running/racing this on Monday. Boston is such an amazing marathon and the excitement in the city before and afterwards is magical, enjoy every minute of it.

I'm terribly disappointed to see that TBL is out of this, very tough news after such a wonderful training block and at such a late stage. I know you'll be back stronger than ever as soon as you get yourself sorted out.

Only doing cause I've a faster PB than blockic that 1 second gets me a lower bib number by 6 :)

Good luck to all running this tomorrow. By all accounts, it's supposed to be (one of) the best marathon(s) in the world. All being well, I'll be finding out for myself next year.

    Enjoy it :)

Good luck to all doing this tomorrow. Ran it last year and in 2011 and hope to be back to do it again sometime! Enjoy the (magnificent) experience.

Tracker up and running. PaulieYifter thru 5k in 20:42 (2:54 pace). Blockic on 22:59 (3:13). Presume Ger is in a later wave.

Long way to go of course!

So watching it online you have control of the volume button. But you could tell that the camera bike microphone was on it's limit of being able to process that sound level as they went past the college.

Nope, he is just out to enjoy it. He hasn't been able to do any real training for the last 2 months.

think he was planning on hi-fiving his way around - wouldn't mind if I could ease around at that pace !

Still no sign of Ger going through 5k, how far apart are the waves?

EDIT: Of course he goes through 5K just as I post this.

That 23:56 thru 5k for Ger is a bit off his 3:15 target - hopefully just a congested start?

Hopefully, over a minute faster for his second 5k and on course for a 3:17 now.
