Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Real Madrid v Bayern Munich

    Any predictions for tonight?

Loads of people are saying Madrid will win but I think Bayern are still top class. Bayern however have their sown up so maybe that could work for them or against them!

Both teams to score could be a good bet!

I see you can get Madrid at 3/1 to win with totepool! http://t.co/R2PMsBqREm

    Bookies obviously going for Bayern!

I fancy a narrow Madrid win or a draw. Maybe 2-1.

Expect Pep to set up fairly negatively. Should be more exciting than last night though.

couldnt find a match thread for this, so thought Id create one. What are peoples opinions and expectations? I reckon it will be like a Barca v Real match, attack attack attack. Now Bayern last year were devastating against that kind of opposition, i.e. Barcelona, will be interesting to see how they fare with Guardiola who plays the Barcelona style sterile domination football, certainly against the shut up shop merchants V Real who who like the Bayern of last year, seem to have more cutting edge and drive direct towards goal...

I'm expecting Real to beat Bayern over the two legs, tonight is going to be the entertaining Semi Final anyway, which should suit all those demanding "pure football"

Munich will score a goal, their strikers are lethal...if they want to be ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I see lots of goals, no idea which way it will go but Madrid's defense isn't good enough but their attack is probably the best in Europe.

Would like to see Munich go through in this semi, but the prospect of a CL final with Munich vs Chelsea is horrible. 90 minutes of 10 Chelsea players inside the box while Munich tip it around on the 18 yard line.

Guardiola will suck the life out of this game. Will be very tight with Munich keeping most of the possession without committing much forward in fear of getting hit on the break.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Narrow Real win 1-0 or 2-1. I think they'll win the tie.

Two horrible clubs,I want Real to win though because Bayern versus either of the other teams in the final would be boring as ****

against chelsea yes, against athletico, athletico arent going to sit back and park the bus, so would be open enough match against them I'd assume, similar to what I am expecting tonight... then again, any team against chelsea will be dull as **** because they wont come out to play against the calibre of opposition that remains...

We get that twice a year as it is. I'm not a fan of one-country finals.

If Real get Bale and Ronaldo out on the field and if they are firing on 90% of their powers then I fancy Madrid to do Munich over.

Looking forward to the pre-match "moyes sacking" analysis from the 3 amigos. Expecting a few goals tonight. Heard on the way home that Bale is a doubt. any more news on that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,609 ✭✭✭IncognitoMan

    Bale not starting?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Is Bale even on the bench? I like watching Bale play. It's a shame his season has been stop-start because he has been very good for 90% of the games he has played. I hope he gets a full injury free season next season.
